Lakehead University Scholarships:
The main aim of this university is to support needy students and to help the students in completing their degree programs.
There are two types of scholarships available at Lakehead University.
- Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships
- Graduate Scholarship
Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships:
This scholarship is for non-Canadian students. It means that applicants should not belong to Canada rather than applicants can belong to any part of the world. Applicants should gonna start an undergraduate degree at LU or he/she should transfer students from different university or college. Applicants will automatically be considered for the scholarship. This scholarship will be given to the top international students.
There are some conditions on which the grant amount will be provided. The conditions are given below:
- If the academic average is 90%+ and IB average is 35+ then the total amount of grant will be $40,000 which will be distributed as $10,000 for four years. This scholarship is renewable and students must have to maintain its results to 90% or above, if the elected student failed to do so then instead of $10,000, an amount of $7,500 will be granted.
- If the academic average is 80% to 89.9% and the IB average is 30-34 then the grant amount will be $30,000 which will be given as $7,500 for four years. There are limited numbers of scholarships under this. Applicants must have to maintain 80% or above the academic results in order to renew this scholarship.
- If the academic average is 75% to 79.9% and the IB average is 28-29 then the grant amount will be $6000 which will be given for only one year. There are also a limited number of scholarships under this. This is a non-renewable scholarship.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must have a high school certificate and must be entering in Years 1, 2, or 3 of a minimum 4-year undergraduate degree program.

Graduate Assistantships
Besides undergraduate scholarships, Lakehead University is also providing graduate assistantships. This assistantship will be given to some of the selected graduate students. The grant amount for this graduate assistantship is $10,197.68 CAD for Masters's degree program and $11,120.82 CAD for the doctoral degree program.

How to Apply for Lakehead Scholarships?
A separate application to apply for undergraduate scholarships at Lakehead University is simply not required because all the applicants will automatically be considered eligible for the scholarship. But please keep in mind that there are three intake periods: the one is Fall(September), the second is Winter(January), and the third one is Spring/Summer (May/July). Applicants can still apply after the deadline it depends upon the admission seat whether they are full or not.
